According to the latest GSD figures reported on by GamesIndustry.biz, 38 million video games were sold in the UK during 2023. But, it was EA Sports FC24 and Warner Bros. Hogwarts Legacy that claimed the top spots as the UK’s best-selling video games.
Work on EA Sports FC 24 marked the fifteenth year that EA and Technicolor Games have teamed up together on the iconic football franchise. For this particular project, the team provided 3D Art services across characters and environments.
Taking the silver was Warner Bros. Hogwarts Legacy, released in February last year. For this magical spinoff we provided both our 3D Art and Animation services.
Beyond the two top spots, familiar Technicolor Games’ contributions also made the list with EA’s FIFA 23, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K23 all making the top 20. Elsewhere, EA Sports’ UFC 5 crept into the top 50 appearing at number 47, closely followed by Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 at 56.
