Hitesh Parmar is a Senior Asset Supervisor at Technicolor Games with over 16 years of experience in the games industry in character, environment and prop design. Having worked on AAA Games, commercials, and animation series, Hitesh understands and respects how dynamic and demanding the gaming industry can be, and is proud of consistently proving to himself he can go above and beyond.
Hailing from a typical Gujrati business-oriented family from Delhi, Hitesh thinks it is because of this, that he developed his sound people and time management skills along with his talent as an artist. Hitesh’s passion for art inspired him to pursue a Diploma in 3D Animation and Visual Effects followed with BFA.
In my 14+ years with Technicolor it has been the most incredible journey to develop my career all while contributing to some of the industry’s best games. I believe Technicolor Games has a promising future, and I aspire to continue to be a part of it.
How did your career begin?
It was as the games industry was booming, I was fortunate enough to get into the industry directly from campus recruitment in 2006 as a 3D – Trainee Modeler (character), where the journey to the 3D world started wcar creation/modification and 3D asset creation.
What is your most memorable moment /project working at Technicolor Games?
In terms of overall growth, 2015 standout as a memorable phase as I had the first opportunity to lead the character team setting a benchmark of client location visits – here I had a chance to work with some of the best in the industry.
I take immense pride of my achievements in working on EA’s FIFA franchisee for almost 15 years continuously starting from FIFA 2009. I’ve witnessed the evolution of the game first hand in terms of quality and workflow and I always look forward to the next.
What is it like working at Technicolor Games?
I joined Technicolor Games as a Modeler, back in 2008. Technicolor Games has given me the opportunity to work for incredible clients such as Electronic Arts, among many other – and this has enabled me to continuously further my career.
What are you excited about for the future?
Since the gaming industry is always evolving with new technology and software always being introduced I can always learn more. It’s exciting to adapt to industry changes and create smooth transitions. I am sure we as a team can achieve greater success in the coming years. I always look forward to collaborating with new clients and exciting projects.
What advice could you give to someone wanting to join the industry?
Develop the right skills and knowledge before jumping into something in hurry, be focused on an area you enjoy and are good at. This industry has a lot to offer creatively. Keep growing and enjoy your opportunities to prove yourself, learn and grow from everything.
