Career biography
Suresh’s career beginnings started with his father who worked for over three decades as an Art Director in the Film industry. Following in his footsteps, Suresh went on to work as an Assistant Art Director, and by the age of 21 he had worked on several Indian regional movies!
In 2008, Suresh joined Technicolor Games as a Texturing Artist. Always keen to enhance his skillset and stay on top of the industry’s evolving needs, Suresh completed a Master’s in Games Design at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK.
Fast forward to the present, and in his current role as Associate Art Director, Suresh’s responsibilities include ensuring asset quality, planning and execution of a project, workflow/pipeline set up, managing communication with clients as well as internal art directors, and of course, delivering a top-notch quality service. He is also involved in resource and team management, and is dedicated to R&D in various IP projects.
Favourite project at Technicolor Games
Over the course of his time at Technicolor Games, Suresh has enjoyed working on several exciting projects, including Atlas Fallen, Hogwarts Legacy, and the FIFA/FC franchise. Each of these projects brought unique challenges, art styles, and workflows, allowing him to gain valuable insights and experience.
However, it is the FIFA/FC franchise that stands out as one of his favourites. Starting out as a Lead overseeing categories such as jerseys, shorts and socks, he learned how to maintain high quality within tight deadlines. Over the years, he has successfully ensured the delivery of more than 2000 jerseys annually.
Suresh’s position has since evolved, today he plays a key role in managing the team, training new artists, all while continuing to ensure the project’s successful delivery, focusing on quality, quantity, and timely delivery. Now in its tenth year, the project continues to be a success and client collaboration is always a highlight for Suresh.
FIFA/FC has become my favourite project, not only because of the technical challenges and achievements but also because of the positive and collaborative team environment it has fostered. It has truly earned its title as a game changer.
