Gameplay takes another leap in NBA 2K25, it’s ball over everything.
Developed by Visual Concepts, NBA 2K has been delivering sports fans with cutting-edge basketball video games since 1999. For several seasons now, Technicolor Games has been honored to collaborate with Visual Concepts providing our assets and animation services.
On this latest instalment, the animation team was responsible for character body and facial clean up. This included work on player introductions, injury animations, non-playable characters, as well as cheerleader and fan dances. Careful attention as always, is paid on finer details like finger movements, floor contact, and character and prop interactions.
We are constantly impressed by the efficiency and consistency of work from face and body animators. The team leaders are also always friendly and accommodating through the changing circumstances of our production cycle. The TC team is always open and excited to take on more tasks and expand their training to match, boasting admirable adaptability and ambition. We appreciate the ongoing collaboration with Technicolor Games, especially their strong communication and reliable work ethic!

Elsewhere, our assets team was briefed on building the all-important basketball arenas, crucial for creating the immersive and captivating court experiences that NBA fans crave in their gameplay.
It has been a pleasure to work with Technicolor Games for yet another year. They are excellent at building the basketball court floor assets we need, and are adept at adapting to the inevitable improvements and changes we make to our workflow annually. We have had the opportunity to work with Technicolor over the past several years. The team at Technicolor have consistently delivered on everything that we have asked for. The quality of their work is excellent and they always deliver on schedule and to specification. We look forward to working with them again in the future.
